The Ratty Ring is a webring - a circle of ratty websites each with a piece of code linking them together. It will bring visitors to your site and give links from you to other ratty sites, but mostly it's just for fun. Here's the Wikipedia Entry on webrings.
The Ratty Ring is free of ads and banners, especially the nasty pest control adverts that commercial sites automatically add to any page with the word 'rat' on it. So if you're going to join a rat ring, this is the one.
To add your site you need to give details of your website. Please remember to enter the address of the page at which you would like visitors to enter your site (Site Entry URL), then if your code is on a different page the address of the page that will contain the ring code (HTML code URL). If your site has frames, the Site Entry URL should be the framing page and the HTML code URL should be the page with the code on.
Your site cannot be listed until you have the ring code on your page. You will be given the ring code when you apply to add your site.
If you need to change the details you entered then log in and give:
The Ring ID: rattyring
Your Site ID: The ID which you entered when you added your site.
Your password: The password which you entered when you added your site.
If you can't remember your site ID then email me at rattycorner@internettie.co.uk from the email address you used to add your site, giving the name of your site. If you can't remember your password you can recover it using the button at the bottom of the login page.
If you need to re-copy your ring code or if you'd like something different you can find it on this page. You need to give the ID which you entered when you added your site, and you must be a registered member for the code to work. Copy the code and paste it onto your webpage. Make sure it's the page at the URL you entered in your details. If you understand the html you are welcome to customise the ring code to match the format of your page.
To join this ring you must:
The Ratty Ring is a wide reaching ring for all ratty websites - pet owners, breeders, health sites etc. But don't you think it would be useful if we could set up rings for ratty sites on particular themes, such as UK Breeders, USA Breeders etc? If you have any bright ideas for an additional rat-themed ring, or for any pet-themed ring, go to my ring system at http://www.petscorner.org/ for details.
