Effra's and Wandle's Pregnancies

Thursday 10th December 2009

Wandle, 13 days pregnant: Wandle is mostly hiding her pregnancy better than her sister Effy, but has gained 49 grams.

Effra, 14 days pregnant: Effie is visibly pregnant, and has gained 58 grams.

Thursday 17th December 2009

Wandle, 20 days pregnant: Wandle has now gained 96 grams.

Effra, 21 days pregnant: Effie's now gained 98 grams in total, and has moved into her maternity cage.

Wandle went frantic when I took Effra away, so I popped her in there too. I need to move her into the other maternity cage before she has her own babies.

Saturday 19th December 2009 - full term for Effra

09:45 - We have no sign of babies, but an enormous nest has appeared with Effra in the middle. I have now moved Wandle into her own maternity cage, where she's looking a little lost but not too unhappy.

We went out around 12:30 and came home around 17:30. Sometime between the two Effie had her babies. I think there are 12 of them, but she doesn't want to leave them yet so it's hard to count. They all look quite dark, and my daughter saw a blaze across an eye in one.
