Kitty's Babies, Day 9 (Sunday 3rd August, 2008)

Morning: Fur!

Last night I still couldn't tell if we had black or not. This morning it's obvious we have ten agoutis and two others! I'm guessing that Diggory doesn't carry black after all, so the light kittens must be agouti based. Not sure what colour though.

We had been letting granny Glitter stay in the nursery cage with Kitty and the babies, as she'd been really good and not interfered at all. Then this morning we had to remove her as she was stealing kittens to put in her own nest and Kitty seemed to be getting stressed by it, frantically retrieving them. Kitty looked relieved to be able to gather in all of her babies, but Glitter didn't look happy at all at going back into another cage.

Evening

I spent playtime this evening trying to keep Glitter away from the bubs, as the first chance she had she picked one up and set off to the hammock box with it. I think she's on her own now until the babies are mobile!
