Kitty's Babies, Day 3 (Monday 28th July, 2008)

Morning: Nest Photos

I was going to recheck the sexes this morning, but Kitty seemed more anxious than usual so I just had a quick check and left them alone. We spent a while building her nest - me handing Kitty strips of kitchen towel and her adding them to the nest. Kitty and Glitter had kale and egg food for breakfast this morning. Glitter is going to get fat if she keeps sharing the feeding up food! She seems to keep completely away from the kittens though. Kitty must have warned her off.

Evening: Counting Up

Kitty's still being quite protective, but we distracted her long enough to confirm that there are five boys and seven girls. We have two blazed boys, one light coloured, one head spot boy, and two black/agouti boys. The girls are one light coloured blazed girl, and I still didn't check the other markings properly. Doh!

I'm obviously giving Kitty too much soft food, as she's leaving some. Princess was quite happy to help with the leftovers.
