Kitty's Babies, Day 28 (Friday 22nd August, 2008)

Morning

I gave the babies a bowl of water to play in this morning. It caused great excitement. I didn't get it videoed until most of the bubs had moved away though.

A video of Kitty feeding the (very noisy) babies in the top hammock. I'm not sure that Glitter was helping at all.

Evening

It's becoming obvious which are the bucks and which are the does just by looking at the shape of them. The biggest boy in particular stands out as a solid lad. I didn't expect them to look so different so soon. I need to sort out soon exactly which babies we're keeping. It's difficult. There are all the high ideals of selecting on health and temperament, but at the moment they're pingy little balls of fluff. Their parents are healthy and friendly but that doesn't help with choosing between babies. So it's down to type and markings for now, then pick on health and character later. Hmm.

We've got yet another eating photo this evening, one of the littlest Essex girl who is a bold little miss, and then two agoutis and Kitty on the wine rack/climbing frame.
