The babies are becoming much more mobile. Granny Glitter is having real trouble keeping them in the nest. In fact, Glitter is causing us a headache as well because she wants to move them all to her safer nest under the bookshelves, so whenever we have the cage open we need to watch for Glitter leaving with a baby in her mouth.
Just two photos this morning, because by the time I'd found the camera, discovered the batteries were flat, found some new ones and stopped Glitter stealing all the babies there wasn't much time left.
Also a video of the way the floor of the cage moves due to tunnelling babies. (The orange strips they're eating are bits of carrot.)
The babies have suddenly switched up a gear - they're whizzing round the cage like speedy light. They're trying the dry mix in the bowl as well, picking a tasty piece and zipping back into the nest to nibble it.
My daughter made the mistake of letting Kitty and Glitter out this afternoon, without watching Glitter closely enough. It seems my son had to rescue two babies from under the bookshelf. It's absolutely incredible how much nest material they got out of there!
Little bit of video, taken by my daughter.
I had a bit of a photo fest this evening because the kittens are just being so sweet. They're helping themselves from the soft food bowl, which has egg food in it this evening, and are even trying the hard rat mix.
