Morning: Kitnapping

A right palaver this morning. Granny Glitter got into the nursery cage and stole a baby. I tried to stop her and got my hand scraped by Kitty, who was justifiably defending her nest. So I let Glitter go and watched. I thought she'd put the baby in the hammock box nest, but it wasn't there. Then I noticed there was a new nest under the shelf, and after excavating I found the little one tucked away safely. Poor Glitter, she really does want some babies of her own.

Here's a video of the little baby who looked like it was dreaming, but when I pointed the camera it woke up for a wriggle.

Evening: Everywhere!

The babies are beginning to bumble out of the nest when Kitty isn't watching. Their eyes aren't open yet, but they find their way around and if they are out of the nest they can find their way back again. Their ears don't have holes in yet either, so they're still quite unfinished.
