About Hope

Hope came to Ratty Corner on the 26th of September 2010. She came with Bianca and Dora from a group of 29 does who were living in a Habitrail Ovo Loft hamster cage. They were each named after motorway service stations before they were homed, with Hope being named after Hopwell services. We then realised that I had the doe originally named after Birch services instead, so I added that to her name. Hope is a young adult who is calm and easily handled.

Hope only stayed with us for a month before she died, but she did a lot of living in that month. Not the same without her.

23rd October 2010 - Suspected mammary lump under left arm. Appointment on Monday 25th. Planning to ask for spay at the same time.
28th October 2010 - Cancerous looking lump. Stopped breathing during operation. RIP
