Health

Monday 20th February 2012 - Hard lump under his left ear, with some discharge from the ear. Lost 63g in past week. Quick op to investigate.
He has what is probably an abscess, although they couldn't get much fluid out of it. He also has 'cancerous looking nodules' in his ear. Unfortunately I didn't think to ask them to look at his teeth, so didn't realise until this evening that his teeth need trimming as they're growing unevenly due to the abscess.
Friday 24th February 2012 - Had his teeth trimmed on Tuesday but he's still struggling to eat. His left eye is very enlarged and I suspect the abscess/tumour is pushing it out. Bleeding from his ear. Vets again tomorrow. :-(
Saturday 25th February 2012 - Put to sleep. Vet to do a visual PM.

The lump was an abscess, but had extended into his inner ear, cheek and the back of his eye. The vet would not have been happy to excavate to that extent to remove it.
