About Amber

Amber was born in my fourth Brandywine litter, and was one of ten littermates, four girls and six boys. She became one of our keepers because she claimed my daughter, Ginnie, as her own human. She's a cheeky little kamikaze rat who teleports around the room.

Amber is named after the River Amber, a Derbyshire river, to celebrate my eldest's recent graduation from Derby University.

Saturday 6th August 2011 - Uterine tumour, extending down past cervix. Not woken from anaesthetic.
