7th June 2008 - small mite scabs. Ivermectin.
18th June 2008 - repeat Ivermectin.
1st Dec 2008 - Mite scabs. Ivermectin.
11th Dec 2008 - 2nd dose Ivermectin.
19th Dec 2008 - Final dose Ivermectin.
13th March 2009 - Neck abscess.
18th March 2009 - Abscess burst and healing.
22nd April 2009 - Ivermectin for mites. Swollen face. Clavaseptin for SDA. Calpol.
1st May 2009 - repeat Ivermectin. Swelling has gone down. Looks perfectly healthy now.
16th May 2009 - Swelling is back. Was it SDA or an abscess?
18th May 2009 - It was an abscess, full of thick creamy green gloop. Got most of it out.
26th May 2009 - All cleared up.
8th June 2009 - Neck abscess.
17th June 2009 - Abscess drained.
21st August 2009 - Lump below right ear. Abscess?
26th August 2009 - Lanced, drained and flushed.
1st September 2009 - Was looking good, then the scab came off and it's manky inside. Couldn't get it all out, but Phoebe might do it herself.
5th September 2009 - Clean and healing well. Well done Fifi!
27th December 2009 - Ivermectin for scabs.
18th February 2010 - Looking under the weather. Nothing finger put-on-able but definitely not quite right.
27th February 2010 - Neck abscess.
2nd March 2010 - Drained, but the hole's closed up so it will probably fill again.
21st March 2010 - Filled and drained again. Not sure if it's finished yet.
25th March 2010 - All gone and looking OK for now.
1st April 2010 - Back feet just starting to knuckle under very slightly on occasion. Nothing very noticeable.
26th April 2010 - Lump behind left back leg.
25th May 2010 - Facial abscess which is draining under chin and inside eye socket somewhere, poor little miss. Yuk. Teeth very misaligned. Vet tomorrow.

Temperament: Perfect combination of tractable and cheeky.

About Phoebe

Phoebe is a sweet little girl, ready to explore but happy to be held. She never causes any trouble in the cage. She's had a lot of problems with abscesses throughout her life, and lost her sister to our SDAV outbreak, but nowadays she's happy and healthy and enjoying life.

4th February 2010 - Phoebe is now living with Barny after losing all her cagemates. They aren't the most compatible of couples, but they rattle along OK most of the time.

21st March 2010 - Phoebe is now living alone. She seems to be coping reasonably well, with just a teddy for company. I daren't add any more rats as I know the abscesses are infectious - they've been passed from cagemate to cagemate. Breaks my heart; she's such a patient and loving girl.
