I'm in two minds as to whether to continue with Essex. It restricts the pairings I can make. I've worked out that I can maintain the two lines and still keep to around 30 rats.

3rd November 2009

Chester was put to sleep today. He had a lump on his nose which looked as if it could be an infected tear duct, but turned out to be a tumour when the vet investigated so I asked her not to wake him up.

I may have done something really stupid. I replied to an ad on Preloved trying to rehome a lone boy. I've only just got back down to 6 cages, and here I am trying to make more work for myself again!
