Introducing Shorty (14th November)

I've just taken on a little 13 month old girl called Shorty. Her owner felt she wasn't getting enough attention, as she has always lived alone and couldn't come out as much now as they have a new puppy in the family.

She is a silver fawn hoodie, very much like our Dove but with a wider stripe. She's bigger than our girls, and fairly brave. She will come out onto my arm with a little coaxing, and spent most of yesterday evening on my shoulder. She is test biting us atm, but I hope she'll get over that. I thought about renaming her, but she seems to know her name so that would be unfair.

Last night I left the end of a roll of paper bedding hanging into the cage and she has made the biggest nest I've ever seen in her hammock. There's hardly room for her!

I'm hoping that I can get her in with my other five girls eventually, she deserves some company.

One of the Family (17th November)

Well, I meant to take it slowly, but it didn't happen that way. Lark and Dove slept over with Shorty last night, and this morning they're all in the big cage.

The others are teaching Shorty how to use the litter tray - she's the squashed one under Lark.
