Fox and Jasper's Solution

Vladdy's been feeling off colour for a week or so, since he tried to jump from a cardboard box onto the kitchen worktop and missed. He's injured his knee.

But I think he's almost back on form this morning.

Gandalf's Saga (29th May)

Gandalf had an eye taken out at the end of March due to an infection inside it that just wouldn't go. Once the eye was out the infection returned so badly that he had to have it opened and drained again. He's been on a succession of antibiotics, Baytril, Ronaxan and Synulox, and I really thought it looked as if it was healing yesterday. To make things more interesting, he won't eat unless he's in his cage, so we have to distract the others while he has his medicine.

Today the socket's all red and swollen up with an interesting green head on it! We've been trying to put a warm compress on it, but it's obviously hurting him because he hisses at us. The vets are ordering in yet another antibiotic to take together with the Synulox which he's been on for two weeks now, but I'm beginning to think it's never going to clear. I think I need a good scream!
