Sneezy Storm (2nd Nov)

Storm is very sneezy at the moment, with a squeaky whuffly sneeze. He's on Baytril for now, we'll see how it goes. He also has some nasty sores on his neck, I'm hoping it's mites not fights. They all get their second dose of Ivermectin tomorrow. I'm making an extra effort to get Storm our for cuddles, because he tends to hang back and not get as much fuss as the others.

Resin Rats update #1 (11th Nov)

The new Yinyang and Begging ratty sculptures are due to arrive in the week beginning November 17th, but I am happy to accept orders in advance.

I also have a door plaque in the pipeline with a border of ratties and space for your own text in the centre. This has just been given to the manufacturer for casting.

Our Sweetheart ratties are due for production in the new year, ready for Valentine's Day, although budget restrictions mean that this is dependant on good sales leading up to Christmas.

Another Resin Rats update #2 (12th Nov)

They're here! The casts arrived today, so I can get painting your sculptures ready for Christmas.

Ratty Corner News #3 (21st Nov)

There are now some painted examples of the Begging Rexy Rat and the Yin Yang rats on the the website.

I'm planning to have a trade stall at the Midlands Rat Club show in Willington on December 6th, with all three of my models both painted and unpainted, and also the opportunity to order custom painted ratties. Ratty door plaques will also be available if I receive them from the casting company in time.

Gandalf was naughty! (23rd Nov)

We've had Gandalf for around two months now, a pet shop rat who was around 3 months old when he arrived. He's been such a good little chap, friendly and well integrated. In fact, he's been a little too good to be true, sitting still on laps and shoulders to brux and boggle, riding shoulders perfectly. A little angel.

Well, it's time for change. Last night while I was changing the litter in the cage base he joined in the 'try to sneak out past mum's hand' game for the first time. In fact, he was one of the better players. I was so pleased and surprised that he was joining in that I gave him a kiss and told him how clever he was.

Now this morning he has a complete personality change. He's full of beans, won't sit still, and is investigating everything! It's so great to see him acting like a rat and not a little goody goody. Hopefully he'll settle down to somewhere inbetween soon.
