Rat Room Dreams

The rat room doesn't exist yet. It's a dream for the future. Sometime around 2013 we'll have paid off the mortgage, put our youngest through uni, and then we can build a single level extension onto the side of the house. It will consist of a utility room and a rat room.

If the council allow, it will be constructed of insulated panels similar to those used for my husband's workshop.

There will be a freezer, biiig sink, washing machine and dryer in the utility room, with possibly a small fridge too for the ratty stuff.

Wish List

• A sealed, washable floor
• Insulation and plumbing to the central heating
• My computer and a TV
• High sockets
• Space for unstacked cages
• Lots of ratty play space
• Sofa
• Timed and light sensitive lighting
• Heat exchanging ventilation
• Split 'barn door'
• Big sink with a spray attachment.

In the meantime...

My OH was complaining about the fact that the rats time their pasta nibbling to coincide with the news every evening, so I have kindly moved all of the cages into the dining room. I now have a ratroom! Only problem is that pesky table that gets in the way...
